Now that cyber bullying is in the media everyday, everyone is claiming to be experts in this rapidly changing field.  The only experts on today’s “cyber” bullying are the KIDS

Huffman ISD

I am back in NJ today after having a GREAT time with the students of Huffman ISD in Texas.  The kids were so receptive to my shows and they had a great time.  I was flooded with e-mails afterwards about cyber bullying and have addressed each one.  I hope to go back soon and talk to the students of the surrounding school districts.  I learned one very valuable lesson.  Humble, TX is pronounced without the “h”.:-)

Mrs. Lowry, 10 or 11 is an appropriate age for kids to start using social networking websites.  The biggest thing you want to remember is that when our children are ready for the work force, social networking is going to be mandatory.  It will be a skill set that every employee will need to have to be able to communicate with fellow employees and their employers all around the world.

Introducing your child to social networking websites is something that should be done as soon as their curiosity about computers and the internet kicks in.

Introduce them to the greatest child friendly/child only social networking website, yoursphere.com.  This site is designed to verify your child’s identity through you.  It gives them a much safer place to play and learn good social networking skills then many other social networking websites.  Teach your child at an early age to be smart, safe and the same person online that they are in real life.
